Help us tell our story
Being Australian and Jewish today means living in difficult times. We are seeing increasing antisemitism, cultural cancelling and loss in our arts and creative sectors.
At the Jewish Museum of Australia: Gandel Centre of Judaica, we work to change this.
The JMA’s mission is to share stories and foster a safe space for all communities to engage in a vibrant Australian Jewish culture.
In the last five weeks, we have hosted more than 600 school students and 70 teachers in our creative spaces for educational programs.
In 2024, the JMA will host exhibitions showcasing the incredible work of Australian Jewish artists. Our exhibitions calendar includes, Nina Sanadze, Harry Nankin and Andrew Rogers among many others yet to be announced.
With over 80% of our general visitors coming from non-Jewish backgrounds, the work we do to reach beyond our community and educate against antisemitism is vitally important.
We offer artists and educators a platform to illuminate the Australian Jewish community’s contribution, fostering inclusion across all cultures.
Together, let’s continue the journey of preserving our heritage and sharing our stories. The JMA is a place for all people to share in the Australian Jewish experience.
